Hot Pickin' Party is a bluegrass band comprised of guitarist Doug Perkins, bassist Mike Santosusso, and dobro player Adam Frehm. At a Hot Pickin' Party performance you'll hear a mix of original songs, traditional bluegrass songs, familiar yet eclectic classic covers and the occasional completely improvised jam. Emma Cook is a songwriter, vocalist, and music educator creating in Burlington, Vermont. In 2018 she began leading classes of music and movement for kiddos under five and their caregivers with Music for Sprouts in Shelburne, VT. While the classroom closed in the fall of 2021, Emma continues to bring this joyful original music to libraries, performance spaces, festivals, and preschools throughout Vermont. You can find Emma's original kids songs Rainbow Parade, Underwater Jubilee, The Skiing Song, and Dragon Kin on all major streaming platforms! We perform Celtic and Traditional Folk songs and Tunes as well as original compositions, using Guitar, Mandolin, Bouzouki, Cuatro Octave-Mandolin, Celtic Harp, Harmonica, Claw-hammer banjo, and more.

Songs and tunes seem to carry their own power over the years, surviving for hundreds of years. We feel lucky to steward them forward in our own unique way.
